THERE IS A DIFFERENCE

“Her priests have violated my law, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the unclean and the clean, and have hid their eyes from my sabbaths, and I am profaned among them.” - Ezekiel 22:26

Today marks the twenty-fifth anniversary of the 9.11 terrorist attacks. As a nation war was declared on us, not by another nation, but by an ideology. Nearly 3,000 Americans lost their lives on that day, not from the force of an army, but because of false religious teachings. There were men who had been taught that if they gave their lives to destroy the “infidels” of a Christian nation that they would be rewarded in Heaven. Five of these men who had been so corrupted hijacked American Airlines Flight 11 and crashed it into the north tower of the World Trade Center. Five more of these misled individuals hijacked United Airlines Flight 175 and flew it into the south tower of the World Trade Center. Five more members of this false religion hijacked American Airlines Flight 77 and flew it into the Pentagon. Four more of these brainwashed men hijacked United Airlines Flight 93 and flew it with an intended target in Washington. However, they had a fight on their hands as brave Americans fought back and forced the plane down in a field before it could reach its intended target. New words were thrust into the limelight of American society. Words like terrorist and jihad were now spoken by children who had never given much thought to or even known of these words before the attack. Terms like “ground zero” and “war on terror” brought tears to the eyes of Americans who had suddenly lost someone they loved. We were attacked by a religious idea on that day.

Over the years, there are many who have sought to subtly brush away the connection between the religion of Islam and the attack on our nation. Even those who are supposed to be preachers and religious leaders in America have aided in the distraction from the source of this evil on that day.  In this effort, terms like “discrimination” and “racial profiling” have been pushed to the forefront of society. The differences between Christianity and Islam have been glazed over and the hatred that underpins the teachings of Mohammed has been denied. Yet, there is a difference.

As an American believer I hold no disdain for any nation. I hold no hatred for any people. I am, however, disgusted with a religion that has trapped so many people into the throes of hatred, manipulation, and disaster. Their Imams hold their hands and unwittingly walk them into the Lake of Fire. We cannot sugar-coat the false teachings of the religion of Islam and the devastating results of such teachings were made clear on September 11, 2001.  

Dear Christian, do not be fooled. There is a difference between the holy and the profane. Islam is not a different form of holiness and Allah is not the same as the God we serve. There is a difference between clean and unclean. The teachings of Mohammed cannot wash away the sins of his followers. This can only be accomplished by the blood of Christ. We should prayerfully seek opportunities to share with them the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ.
